Dr. Joseph Yeasted plays a lead role in the strategic development and execution of large programs and projects that involve creative technical, financial, and risk management strategies. He is responsible for the upfront due diligence and risk evaluation for TRC’s Exit Strategy Program nationwide, and serves as the Executive-in-Charge for Exit Strategy projects once they are awarded to TRC. He provides senior leadership for the technical and risk management evaluation for all Exit Strategy program sites. His 25-year career includes large program management as well as executive management roles within the environmental industry.

Prior to joining TRC, Mr. Yeasted served as National Vice President of Engineering Services for IT Corporation. He also served IT as National Director of RI/FS Programs, as Program Manager for DOE Environmental Restoration Programs at both the Nevada Test Site and the Fernald Site, and as Director of Major Projects for both the Northeast and Midwest Regions. Mr. Yeasted’s extensive experience in hazardous waste sites, which dates back to a senior project management role under EPA’s first remedial contract in 1983, is well suited for the complex challenges of evaluating the technical issues, costs, and risks associated with contaminated properties.

Dr. Yeasted received a B.A. in Mathematics from St. Vincent College in 1972, and a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1973 and 1974, respectively. In 1978, he received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and Water Resources from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of Pennsylvania.
